The 2nd Thursday of each month, a group of people travel to the Mustard Seed Soup Kitchen in Worcester. They serve a meal to the homeless which has been prepared by volunteers in the parish. The meal consists of a shepherd’s pie during the winter months and pasta salad during the summer months. Donations for milk, bread and sandwich meats are accepted.
The many needs of the parish for information sharing and collecting donations is coordinated by a group making the narthex a pleasant and organized environment.
Parish Council members review the needs of the parish and make plans for the future growth of the total parish community.
A diocesan-wide effort collects funds to support the diocesan outreach in charity.
A prayer shawl is offered to anyone in need of one. They are knit or crocheted by members of the parish in pray with the intention of enveloping sick or otherwise distressed people in the love of the Father.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets the first Thursday of the month (except December and May) in Mary’s Chapel at 7:00 pm. Contact Neeni Francis at nfrancis@stgabrielma.org for more information.

St. Gabriel the Archangel Retreat Team is a community dedicated to promoting a deeper faith in Jesus with special direction toward confirmation candidates. We do this through sharing story, personal enrichment, prayer, and the presentation of a prayerful enjoyable retreat experience. We strive to be a community of love, compassion, and mutual support.
